Description
No. 11 Reybridge is a lodge to Lackham House, built around 1820-1830. It features random lump tufa walling with ashlar dressings and a low-pitched slate eaves roof with a ridge stack. The building is a single storey in Gothic style, showcasing Y-tracery windows set in flush rusticated ashlar surrounds. It has an ashlar plinth and flush rusticated quoins. The front is semi-octagonal with five sides, and the center has a half-glazed door that matches the window surrounds but is enhanced with rock-faced bands and a keystone carved with a cockerel and cross crest. The roof extends as a verandah with fretted eaves boards, supported by thin iron posts on Gothic stone bases. These posts are ringed with iron rods, likely intended to mimic Gothic shafting and serve as a trellis for plants. The range behind the lodge is broader, featuring deep eaves and two windows facing the drive on the east side. The west side, which faces the lane, is finished with plain painted render.
