Description

There are two chest tombs located in the churchyard about 9 meters south of the tower of the Church of St Martin. The first tomb is an unidentified monument from the mid-18th century, made of ashlar, featuring two shield plaques on each side, a decorated center, angle piers, and a moulded cornice. The second tomb is the monument to W. Rogers, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. This tomb has baluster angles, a raised oval plaque on the south side with a scroll border, and two rococo-framed plaques on the north side. It includes an inscription commemorating William Rogers, who died in 1826. The south side of this monument is damaged.
