Description

BREMHILL BREMHILL VILLAGE ST 97 SE (south side) 8/27 Two monuments in churchyard about 9m south of tower of Church of St Martin GV II Two chest tombs, C18 and early C19, ashlar. From north: a) Unidentified monument, mid C18 with two shield plaques each side, decorated centre and angle piers and moulded cornice. b) W. Rogers monument, late C18 or early C19, with baluster angles, raised oval south plaque with scroll border and two rococo-framed north plaques. Inscription to William Rogers died 1826. South side is damaged.
