Timber frame with plaster infilling, oversailing second floor. Gabled front with cut Cl9 bargeboards. Minster Street front has 2 windows to upper floors, 3 light leaded lattice casements. Modern shop on ground floor. Silver Street front has 2 light attic casement, 4 light casement to second floor and 2 of 2-lights on first floor. Modern shop front ground floor. Old tile roof.

The Poultry Cross and Nos 36 to 52 (even) form a group. No 36 forms a group with Nos 1 to 17 (odd) Minster Street, the rear elevation of which form a group with those of Nos 36 to 52 (even) and with St Thomas's Church, St Thomas's Square.
