Description

The ornamental vase located west of the west facade of Amesbury Abbey is a garden ornament from the 18th century. Made of limestone, it features a tapered design with four lions' heads that hold ring handles. The vase is adorned with a floral band and swags below. It has a gadrooned rim, which likely originally supported a sundial that is now missing.
