Description
This is a house dating circa 1850, located on the north side of Fore Street in Ashton Keynes. It is constructed from squared limestone rubble with quoins and dressings, and has a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys and comprises three bays. The central entrance is recessed and features a 20th-century glazed door with an original radial fanlight, set within a keyed architrave. The windows are twelve-pane sashes with recessed boxes, with an eight-pane sash to the first floor of the centre bay. The roof is hipped on the left side, and a brick stack is visible at the rear. A front garden wall, built in rat-trap bond with stone copings swept up at junctions and openings, is continuous with that of April Cottage.
