Description

April Cottage is a cottage dating from circa 1720. It is constructed from limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a stone slate roof. The cottage is two storeys and an attic, with two bays. A central half-glazed door is set within a 20th-century pitched glazed porch. There are three-light casement windows with leading, each with a timber lintel. Gable stacks are present. Blocked openings are visible in the right gable and in a rear extension on the left. The interior features chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. A front garden wall is constructed in rat-trap bond with stone copings, the copings being swept up at the junction and around openings.
