Description
The forecourt walls and gate piers at Nonsuch House were built in the early 18th century and are made of rubble stone and ashlar. They feature two large panelled gate piers that are corniced and topped with acanthus-cupped ball finials, along with raised gatestops and outer scrolls. The entrance is fitted with 20th-century wooden gates. On either side of the entrance, there are rubble stone walls that include two sections of ashlar balustrading. Similar walls extend back to the house, each also featuring two lengths of balustrading.
