Description
Elcot is a house built around 1820, featuring an ashlar front and red brick construction with a low-pitched slate roof, coped gables, and end stacks. The front of the house has three storeys, while the rear has two. The front elevation includes a three-window arrangement of sash windows, with nine panes on the top floor, sixteen panes on the other floors, and a six-panel door set within a Roman Doric ashlar porch. The central bay and the angle piers project slightly. There is a raised plinth, as well as a band and string course. The rear of the house has flush chamfered 19th-century stone mullion windows and a central door with a hood supported by brackets. To the right of the house is an outbuilding, which is not included in the listing, that has a date plaque reading HGW 1821 along with a masonic symbol, indicating it was for Henry Williamson, who owned the property from 1819 to 1839.
