Description
66 New Park Street is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys high with a basement. It is constructed of Bath stone, featuring a projecting plinth and a string course at floor level. The building has a projecting frieze, a moulded cornice, and a tall blocking course, with a slightly higher central panel. There are three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all four panes wide, with block sills. The tall door consists of six fielded panels, two of which are glazed, and is set in a recess with a doorcase that has a long vertical panel and a small square top panel. This design is repeated on the sides of the reveal, which includes an entablature and a moulded pediment. Additionally, there are cast iron scrapers with a honeysuckle pattern set back from the road. The interior may also be of interest. Numbers 62 to 67, which are consecutive, form a group with this building.
