Description
The Garden House of No 60 (North Canonry) is a mid-18th century, two-storey structure that served as a garden or boat house. It has a square plan with a stone base, a tile-hung south front, and brick walls with ashlar quoins on the west side. The corners of the parapet feature swept-up coping. On the ground floor, there are two vertical oval windows that are not glazed, while the first floor has sash windows on three fronts, which are tall and recessed with intact glazing bars. The doorway on the ground floor, located on the north front, is framed by a rusticated stone surround. This building is part of a remarkable group of listed buildings in The Close.
