Description

This is a row of late 17th-century cottages, numbered 3 to 13, located on New Road. The cottages are constructed of rubble and have stone-tiled roofs of varying heights. They feature square ashlar stacks along the ridge. Number 3 has a large gable and a continuous roofline with number 1. A weathered string course is visible at first-floor level on number 7, and another over the ground-floor window of number 13. The windows are a mix of original 2-, 3-, and 4-light casement windows with moulded stone mullions, and later sash windows. The doorways are square-headed with simple openings, with numbers 5 and 7 having stone porches. The porch to number 5 has Victorian bargeboards. Numbers 1 to 13 (odd numbers) form a group.
