Description

CORSHAM CHURCH SQUARE ST 8770 5/47 M. Chanter monument in churchyard, about 2m south of Broome monument, north-east of north aisle of Church of St. Bartholomew GV II

Chest tomb, mid to later C18, ashlar with 2 raised plaques each side, fielded angle piers with centre rosette and sunk floral drop between plaques. Moulded base and cornice with fluted frieze broken forward at angles and centre. South side inscription to Mary Chanter died ?1747.
