Description
Roberts Berry Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse built on an earlier core. It is constructed from rubble stone and features slate roofs with end stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two gabled dormers that each contain paired 12-pane sash windows. The main front showcases flush beaded mullion windows, including one 2-light and two 3-light windows above, as well as two 2-light windows with hoodmoulds. There is a door located in an enclosed flat-headed stone porch that has a depressed-arched entry, and one 3-light window below. The farmhouse includes a parallel rear range and a projecting north wing. Historically, it was known as Clapcote Farm and was held by the Fitzurse family in 1243 and by the Blount family of Bitton in the mid-15th century. It became part of the Neeld estate in 1851.
