Description

This early 19th-century farmhouse is located on Seend Worton Road. It is constructed of red brick with a hipped plain tile roof, and a rear stack. The main two-storey, three-window front range features 16-pane sashes, with a narrower window arrangement on the first floor centre. A 6-panel door is topped by a traceried fanlight. The windows have flat, gauged brick heads, and the doorway is protected by a gauged brick arch. A 20th-century porch has been added. A rear wing, pebbledashed on the south side, has a three-window range of flush, cyma-moulded, two-light stone-mullion windows. The interior includes a timber-lintelled fireplace in the right-hand front room, and a central staircase with turned newels, leading to a broad landing on three sides.
