Description

Turnpike Cottage is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a stone slate roof that is half-hipped at the east end, with a stack at the west end. The building is two stories high and has a two-window range on the north front, which includes two-light flush cyma-moulded stone mullion windows. There is a door at the west end set in a flush moulded surround. On the south side, there is one similar two-light window on each floor. The east side of the cottage has extensive 20th-century additions.
