Description
The bridge over the River Wylye, located to the north of Boreham Mill, dates from the mid-18th century and is constructed of stone. It features splayed ends, three segmental arches, and two break-waters made of rusticated ashlar. Above these, there is a band, followed by two plain courses and a chamfered cope. The center section of the parapet is raised, contributing to the bridge's design. Although small, it is well designed. The nearby mill, rebuilt in 1886, stands on the site of the lord of the manor's mill, which dates back to the time of the Domesday Book.
