Description
Butler's Combe Farmhouse is a 18th-century building that was altered in the mid-19th century to adopt a local 'Gothick' style. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a square, box-like shape. The left side of the west front is constructed of local rubblework with large quoins, while the right side is made of brick. It features a hipped slate roof with a central brick chimney. The building has two ranges of windows: on the first floor, there are two-light casements, and on the ground floor, there are three-light casements, all with pointed heads, dripmoulds, glazing bars, and moulded frames. There are also similar two-light windows on the left and right ground floor returns. The farmhouse is designed in an 'L' shape, with a two-storey rear wing and a glazed entrance located in the angle.
