Description

This is a two-storey cottage, built in 1838. It's an example of the ‘Gothic’ style of architecture common in Chapel Street. The exterior is constructed of local rubble stone with ashlar quoins and dressings. The front features two ranges of two-light casement windows with decorative Gothic-style heads and dripmoulds. A central doorway has a dripmould and leads to steps rising to the road. The roof is slate, hipped, and incorporates gable end chimneys. A datestone inscribed "H.B. 1838" is located on the right-hand gable return.
