Description
The dovecote located to the southeast of Cadenham Manor is a 17th-century structure built from rubble stone and topped with a stone slate roof. It features coped gables that have saddlestones and a pyramid-capped lantern with a weathervane. The dovecote has a rectangular plan and includes two large cart entries on the west side, which are fitted with timber lintels and 20th-century double doors. Each gable has small openings, and there is a low door at the north end. On the east side, there is a blocked door and two added raking buttresses. The interior is reported to be lined with nesting boxes.
