Description

CORSHAM CHURCH SQUARE ST 8770 5/86 Unidentified monument in churchyard about lm east of south aisle of Church of St. Bartholomew GV II

Chest tomb, later C18, ashlar with plinth, moulded base and cornice with pulvinated frieze breaking forward each side over fielded plaque flanked by fielded strips. Earliest decipherable date 1744. West end inscription to S. Shepherd, died 1795.
