Description

Fosse Cottage is an 18th-century house that has been altered since its original construction. It is built of rubble stone, likely originally roughcast, and has a stone slate roof with end and one ridge stack. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with three 20th-century dormers – two hipped and one gabled. The front has a three-window arrangement. The two left bays feature stone mullion two-light windows with hoodmoulds over, the left window extended to form a door. There is a blocked doorway between the windows. The right bay has early 18th-century paired twelve-pane sash windows set in raised, moulded surrounds with moulded cornices above. There are also two attic windows in the end wall. A parallel rear range extends from the main house.
