Description
Nos 12 and 13 Woolley Green are former stables, likely associated with Woolley Grange, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building is two storeys high, constructed of coursed rubble, and features a stone-tiled roof with an old central ashlar chimney stack and eaves. There are three windows on the front, with a mix of modern styles, one of which is blocked. On the south gable end, there is one original two-light window with a stone mullion, which is also blocked. At each end of the building facing east, there are paired square-headed openings beneath wooden lintels that have been blocked; these openings previously provided access to the stables. Nos 12 and 13, along with Woolley Green House, Woolley Green Lodge, and the archway and walls, form a cohesive group.
