Description

Newton House, located at No. 5 Barn Street, is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It features chequered brickwork with a string course at the first floor level and has a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The roof is covered with old tiles. On the first floor, there are four windows, while the ground floor has three windows and a four-panel door. The door is framed with an architrave and has a flat moulded hood supported by cut brackets on the left side. All the windows have moulded frames and segmental heads. In front of the house, there are plain wrought iron railings with urn standards. Newton House is part of a group with Nos 1 to 11 Barn Street.
