Description

The Riverside Wall and Bridge to River House is a structure dating from the 18th or 19th century, located on the west side of High Road in Ashton Keynes. It is made of limestone and stands five metres high, featuring ashlar gate piers topped with ball finials. The bridge over the River Thames has two arches and is equipped with weathered stone copings secured with iron ties. The parapet includes a stone slab access to a sluice on the upstream side, and the ends of the parapets are splayed. Additionally, the wall incorporates the pitched gable wall of a barn at its northern end.
