Description
The structure is a wall along North Walk that encloses the forecourt of No 15, known as Malmesbury House. It dates from the early 18th century and is built of tall brick on a projecting plinth, featuring stone coping and piers at regular intervals. To the left, there is a carriage entrance flanked by square rusticated stone piers with moulded bases and caps, which are topped by seated greyhounds, replacing a stone ball. Near the center of the wall, there is a small doorway with brick piers, scroll brackets supporting a cornice hood, and a six-panel door set within an architrave surround. The wall, along with Nos 14, 14A St Anne's Gate, and No 15, creates a very picturesque group.
