Description

The James Archer tomb, located in the churchyard about 1 meter south of the Sealy tomb and southeast of the porch of the Church of St. Andrew, is a chest tomb dating from around 1770. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a pennant top slab. The north side has two circular plaques with an open book in relief between them, along with corner paterae that include husk drops. The south side has rectangular plaques that are fluted on the sides, with drapery drops between them. The tomb has baluster corners, a moulded base, and a cornice. The capstone has been replaced. It is situated in row 3, east of the churchyard path.
