Description

These forecourt walls, gate piers, and gates, numbered 39 to 46, form a small enclosed garden court. The walls are low and situated between the wings of the buildings. They are constructed of square, chamfered stone piers with moulded caps. Small iron gates are positioned at the centre and corners of the enclosure; the central gates feature an inverted top rail and fleur-de-lys cresting. The listed buildings in The Close collectively represent a group of outstanding significance.
