Description
15 St Margaret's Street is a 17th-century building that has undergone significant alterations. It stands two storeys tall with attics and is constructed of coursed rubble. The roof is covered with modern pantiles, and there is a cornice at the eaves. The building features two wooden dormers with barge-boards and pinnacles. There are four windows in total, including a three-light mullioned casement on the first floor, a large fixed-light window with a timber lintel, and one sash window on the ground floor. The central entrance has a panelled door set in a chamfered stone frame, with a weathered string course above the ground-floor windows and doors. This property is part of a group that includes the Three Horseshoes and Nos 1 to 4 Frome Road, along with the Liberal Club, the Baptist Chapel, the Congregational Church and Hall, and several other numbered properties on St Margaret's Street and St Margaret's Hill.
