Description

Littleton Mill House is a late 18th-century mill owner’s or manager’s house, now a detached residence. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a concrete tiled roof, gable end stone stacks, and coped verges. The house is two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. A central three-panelled door is topped by a semi-circular fanlight and a flat stone hood supported by brackets. Flanked on either side are a pair of 12-pane sash windows with "horns." A flat band runs above the ground-floor level; above this, a central sash window is flanked by a pair of windows, with a similar band over the lintels. Three 20th-century flat-headed dormers are set into the roof. A 20th-century garage is attached to the right return. The house was originally built as the residence for the owner or manager of Littleton Mill.
