Description

LONDON ROAD 1. 5407 (North Side) No 40 (Albany Cottage) SU 1969 1/231 including railings SU 1968 2/231 II 2. Late C18. Red brick. Tile hung side. Pitched slate roof. Brick stacks. 2 storeys. 3 ranges of pointed arch casements with glazing bars, each framed by a band of nodular flints concentric with jambs and voussoirs. Half-glazed pointed arch door with similar band of flints. "Carpenters' Gothick" porch with wooden trellis work and tent roof. Delicate iron railings with spearhead and urn finials.
