Description
Albany Cottage, dating from the late 18th century, is located on the north side of London Road. It is constructed of red brick with tile hanging on the sides and features a pitched slate roof with brick stacks. The building stands two storeys tall and has three ranges of pointed arch casements that include glazing bars, each surrounded by a band of nodular flints that align with the jambs and voussoirs. The entrance features a half-glazed pointed arch door, also framed by a similar band of flints. The cottage has a "Carpenters' Gothick" porch that includes wooden trellis work and a tent roof. Additionally, there are delicate iron railings with spearhead and urn finials surrounding the property.
