Description

The churchyard tomb of Susanah Nicholas Van Acker of Erith dates from the late 17th century, with her death recorded in 1683 or 1687. This large chest tomb features carved panels made of Portland stone on each face, complemented by corner balusters. The long sides of the tomb have ovals intended for text, while the west end displays an achievement of arms. The east end is plain, likely because it was previously positioned against the church. The tomb is topped with slate.
