Description

The Gooch Tomb, located in the churchyard about 24 meters north of the north tower of the Church of St Mark, is a Grade II listed memorial. It commemorates Emma Brent Gooch, who passed away in 1872, and William Frederick Gooch, who lived from 1825 to 1915, with his inscription added in 1915.

The tomb is made of Portland stone and features a low chest tomb design with a hipped table and an extended kerb. The faces of the table are inscribed with the names and dates of both individuals, while the kerb surrounds the tomb on all sides.
