Description
No 20 Shop, also known as the Old R Shop, is a machine shop that has been converted into a wheel shop. It features a mix of materials on its exterior, with some walls made of stone borrowed from earlier buildings and others constructed from contemporary brickwork. Inside, the structure is entirely made of iron, with a partly glazed roof. The shop contains three rows of cast iron columns, each consisting of 19 columns, and the roof is constructed from wrought iron. This building is part of a significant collection of Victorian industrial buildings at the Great Western Railway works.
