Description
The Former St Mark's Vicarage, built in 1844 by Moffatt and Scott, is a two-storey structure located on Church Place in Swindon. It features rock-faced snecked rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is made of plain and interlocking 20th-century tiles, set between raised parapets. The building has gable stacks with tall corniced ashlar flue shafts. It consists of two bays and includes a rear right extension, as well as a flush right gabled crossing with a two-storey canted and hipped bay. The windows are mullioned and transomed with shouldered heads. There is a flush first-floor dormer on the left, also with shouldered heads and three lights, and a large flush window below from the 20th century. To the west of the vicarage is a service range and a stable yard built in 1880.
