Description

West Hill House is a building that underwent early to mid-19th century alterations to an earlier 18th-century cottage. It is two storeys high, constructed of rubble with brick dressings, and features a stone tile roof. The house has very large external gable end chimneys, with the right-hand chimney including an extension for a bread oven. On the first floor, there are three windows, which are two-light casements, while the ground floor has two glazing bar sash windows with marginal glazing. The entrance is a central four-panel door. To the left, there is a single-storey extension with a one-window design, covered in bradstone tiling. Additionally, there is a stone "plank" wall made of large upright stone slates that runs along the street.
