Description
Deacon's Court is a building located in Broad Blunsdon, dating from the 17th century or early 18th century for the left part, and the 18th century for the right part. The right-hand section is two storeys high, constructed of painted rubble, and features a modern tile roof with brick ridge chimneys. It has four windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor, all of which are two-light casements with timber lintels. There were mid-19th century alterations to the far right door and window, which now includes a three-light casement.
The left-hand part, dating from the 17th century or early 18th century, is also two storeys and made of painted rubble. All openings have been altered with concrete lintels. This section has three windows on each floor, a small window on the first floor, and two doors. It has a modern tile roof with three very large stone stacks. Additionally, there is an early 19th-century rubble stable with brick quoins and dressings on the left side.
