Description

Lower Slait Lodge is a lodge built around 1750, likely designed by Thomas Wright of Durham. The building is rendered and features a hipped slate roof with a central octagonal chimney stack that has a parapet. It is designed in the Gothick style and stands two storeys tall. The lodge has four hexagonal corner turrets, each topped with hexagonal slate roofs. The façade includes two windows and a central door, which are fitted with two-light casements that have decorative leaded glazing. There is also a 20th-century projecting porch.
