Description
This is a road bridge over the railway, built around 1843 for the Bristol and Gloucestershire Railway, with engineering by I.K. Brunel. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble and features a single segmental arch made of ashlar voussoirs. The bridge has buttressed abutments and a coped parapet. The railway line it serves was opened in 1844, completing the route from Newcastle to Exeter.
