ST 77 NE TORMARTON C.P. WEST LITTLETON ROAD, West Littleton (west side) 6/309 Barn about 20 metres south of 17.9.52 Church Farmhouse G.V. II

Barn. C17 origin, remodelled early C20, possibly by Harold Brakspear. Limestone rubble, stone dressings, stone tiled roof with raised coped verges and kneelers, gable stack to south with hexagonal chimneys, wrought iron finial to north. Cruciform plan. East elevation has projecting former cart entry with hipped roof, 8-light mullion and transom window inserted with ovolo mouldings and hood mould, all windows with leaded lights; single storey lean-to to left with similar 2-light window, weathered external stack to right, similar cross window to left and 6-light window to right, weathered buttress, long and short quoins. Right return has cross window; left return has single storey addition with door and 2-light window to rear. Rear has 2 cross windows to left, cart entry repeated with pitched roof, door with 4-centred head and moulded surround, decorative strap hinges and side lights, additional lean-to to right. Interior: not inspected.
