Description

This chest tomb, located 5 yards northeast of the chancel of St. James' Church, dates from the early 18th century and is made of limestone ashlar. It features illegible square inscribed panels and 'lyre' shaped ends, along with a moulded cornice. The chest tombs are a notable collection of local and classical tomb designs, significantly enhancing the church's setting.
