Description
This structure consists of a set of four gate piers and connecting curtain wall located about 24 metres south of New Mayshill Farmhouse. It dates from the early 18th century and is built from pennant rubble with limestone dressings. The two central square piers stand approximately 2 metres high and feature cornices along with remnants of limestone pineapple finials. The taller outer piers also have remains of limestone finials, likely urns. The curtain wall on both the left and right sides between the piers is about ½ metre high and has a total length of approximately 10 metres.
