Description
This chest tomb, located 18 yards north of the chancel of St. James' Church, dates from the mid-18th century and is possibly attributed to Isaac. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features enriched oval panels, C-scrolls, and tendrils, along with corner balusters. The tomb has a moulded plinth and cornice. This chest tomb is part of a notable collection of local and classical tomb forms and significantly enhances the setting of the church.
