Description

The Haldene Tomb, located approximately 6 meters east of the Church of St Pancras, is a chest tomb from the early 19th century. It commemorates Mrs. Main Haldene, who lived from 1773 to 1834, and was the widow of Colonel Henry Haldene of the Royal Engineers. The tomb is made of dressed freestone and features a chamfered base, a moulded plinth, roll-moulded corners on the inscribed sides, and a moulded lid. It has a rectangular plan.
