Description

Grange House is an 18th-century house in a row, located on George Lane, Plympton St Maurice. The exterior is faced with incised stucco over probable rubble, with a steep roof covered in asbestos slate. A heavy modillion eaves cornice runs along the roofline, and a central hipped dormer features a pair of sashes. Rendered end stacks are present.

The house originally had a single-depth plan with two rooms flanking a central entrance hall or passage. It is now two storeys plus an attic, which was later converted. The front facade is symmetrical with three windows. The windows are likely 20th century, hornless sashes, and most lack glazing bars; the ground floor windows are wider and tripartite.

A central doorway is flanked by pilasters and features a moulded entablature. The door is six-panelled, with the top four panels fielded and the bottom two panels flush. The interior was not inspected, but likely retains original features of interest.
