Description

The entrance archway, located about 25 metres northwest of Clapton Court, dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with a limestone ashlar facing. The archway features an elliptical-headed arch that is chamfered and has a projecting keystone. It also includes moulded impost blocks and coping at the top.
