Description
The terrace and dairy at Banwell Castle were built around 1848 and are constructed from rubble and freestone. The terrace connects the house to a decorative dairy and features a low wall above a buttressed round-headed arcade. There is a small low arch to the left, with the next two larger arches providing access to storage beneath the terrace. The arch to the right leads to the back of the house. At the right end of the terrace, there is a tall octagonal freestone turret with slit windows on three sides facing the road and three sides facing the garden, along with a plain doorway to the garden. This turret is known as the dairy. The terrace is situated to the west of the house and is flanked by a wall on the east.
