Description
Gardener's House is a country house lodge built around the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with stone dressings and features a slate roof with deep eaves and verges, along with pierced barge boards on the gables. The house has ashlar axial and gable end stacks with chamfered shafts. The building has a T-shaped plan with outhouses at the end of the rear wing and is designed in the Tudor Gothic style.
The exterior is one storey with an attic and presents an asymmetrical northwest front, featuring a gabled cross-wing on the left. It includes 1, 2, and 3-light casements with glazing bars, where the ground floor windows have hoodmoulds, and the first floor has a small gable on the right. There is a 4-centred arch doorway with a plank door. The southwest side is similar but does not have a doorway. On the northeast side, there is a plank door with a small gable above and a range of outhouses to the left. The interior has not been inspected. Gardener's House is part of a series of Victorian lodges at Tyntesfield.
