Description
Elm Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1830-1840. It is constructed of rubble with freestone dressings and features a 20th-century tiled roof with coped raised verges and brick stacks. The building has two storeys and attics, with a total of four bays. The windows are 2- and 3-light casements that have ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds. There is a projecting gabled porch located off-centre to the right, which has a moulded surround with a four-centred head. The farmhouse is notable for its four free-standing, steep, stepped gables that rise from the eaves, and the gable ends are crow-stepped. Additionally, there are small carved arms located on the sides and above the first-floor windows.
