Description
The Thatched Cottage is an early 17th-century cottage located on Station Road in Sheepway, Portbury. It is constructed of rubble with a thatched roof and features brick stacks. The building is a single storey with attics, which are highlighted by three 'eyebrow' dormers, with an additional four dormers on the rear elevation. The front has three bays, with 20th-century two-light casement windows. The left bay includes a 20th-century extension, and there are 20th-century doors on both the left and right, set within a thatched, projecting porch. Inside, the cottage features stop-chamfered beams and a large open fireplace.
