Description
Priory Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse located on the east side of Post Office Lane in Flax Bourton. The building is rendered and features a hipped double Roman tiled roof that is set behind a parapet with a moulded cornice. It has five clustered diagonal stacks made of squared rubble. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics and includes two 16-pane glazing bar sash windows. The central entrance consists of a panelled and studded door, which is framed by an ogee moulded surround and fitted with strap hinges that have open scroll ends. This door is sheltered by a large semi-circular canopy supported by brackets. Inside, the farmhouse boasts chamfered beams with scroll stops and a winder staircase.
